monkey was stuck in fish attack
Unbeknownst to the monkey, the river was home to a group of aggressive fish—likely a species of carnivorous or territorial fish that reacted violently to the sudden splash. As the monkey flailed and tried to climb back onto the rocks, the fish began to swarm. They nipped at its legs and tail, causing the monkey to panic and lose more energy.
The current was not very strong, but the monkey was trapped between slippery stones and the snapping jaws of the fish. Every time it tried to climb out, it slipped again. Its cries for help echoed through the forest. Luckily, another monkey from its troop had followed closely and noticed the distress.
With loud screeches and branch-shaking movements, the second monkey distracted the fish and drew attention to the struggling animal. A nearby villager, who was collecting firewood, heard the noise and rushed to the scene. With a long stick, he carefully pulled the exhausted monkey from the water, away from the biting fish.
The monkey was badly shaken and had a few minor injuries, but it survived. It sat on a tree branch, shivering and wet, holding tightly to its rescuer’s stick. The event served as a reminder of how unpredictable nature can be—and how even the smallest creatures can come together to help each other in moments of danger.
